Car history.

My car history starts well before I was able to drive. Much like any child that takes an interest in cars I recall finishing my Dad's cups of coffee while he worked on the cars the late 90's had to offer. In the garden at home there was an Transit Police Van that never moved, a Ford Sierra Ghia Estate that also never moved and at one point 3 Citroen BXs. There was a B reg MG Metro Turbo that belonged to my brother which, you guessed it, also never moved. The cars that did move during my childhood were the aforementioned BXs, I used to think the hydropneumatic supension was so cool and one of my earliest memories is those green spheres in the engine bay. Renault 19, Ford Orion, Ford Sierra Saloon, Volvo 760 GLE V6, Mazda 626 GT, Toyota Camry 3.0 V6, Nissan QX Maxima 2.0 V6 and 3.0 V6, Citroen Xantiaa 1.9 D, but the one I spent the most time in was probably the 1994 Saab 9000 2.0 which is still sat in the garden at my Mum's!

I regularly pleaded with family to take me driving but aged 11 I was able to teach myself how to drive in the garden in one of cars left behind, the 1990 Mazda 626 GT, this ended up running on just 2 cylinders before it eventually was scrapped.

My first road car aged 17 was a 1996 VW Golf 1.4 I bought for £525. I then had a number of VWs, 2000 Golf 1.6, 2000 Golf GTI TDI (yes, it was a thing before the GTTDI), then a 2006 Saab 9-5 1.9 TID Vector Sport.
